Things to Do in Singapore

One of the most iconic landmarks in Singapore is the Marina Bay Sands Observation Deck. This architectural marvel consists of three towers connected by a stunning SkyPark at the top. While the infinity pool is reserved for hotel guests, visitors can still enjoy breathtaking views from the rooftop bar and the Observation Deck, accessible via Tower 3's basement.

Gardens by the Bay is another must-visit attraction, showcasing Singapore's transformation from a "Garden City" to a "City in a Garden." The 100+ hectare park features the Supertree Grove, with tree-like structures that mimic natural trees and are adorned with exotic plants. The Skyway connecting two of the tallest trees offers a mesmerizing light and sound show at night. Don't miss the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories, each offering unique botanical experiences.

Jewel Changi Airport is not just an airport but a destination in itself. Home to the world's tallest indoor waterfall, the Rain Vortex, it is surrounded by lush tropical flora and various entertainment and shopping venues. The top level features a family-friendly canopy park, making it a popular spot for both travelers and locals.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities, the Henderson Waves bridge offers a thrilling experience. As the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore, it connects Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Parks. The bridge is a highlight of the Southern Ridges hike, which can be extended to include the Treetop Walk and even a cable car ride to Sentosa Island.

Lastly, the First Generation - Bronze Bathers sculptures at Boat Quay offer a glimpse into the lives of local people before Singapore's rapid modernization. These bronze sculptures are part of a series spread across the city, each telling a unique story.

Where to Go Out / Nightlife in Singapore

For a night out with a view, head to the Gallery & Bar at 1-Altitude. This venue offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the city, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset. The bar features live music from bands and resident DJs, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

Atlas Bar, located in the Parkview Square building, is renowned for its extensive gin collection and art deco-inspired interiors. The bar's menu pays homage to the roaring twenties, offering cocktails like martinis and Negronis, paired with dishes such as lobster rolls and smoked beef short ribs.

Comedy Masala at Hero's bar is the go-to spot for stand-up comedy in Singapore. Founded by Pakistani comedian Umar Rana, the show features international, local, and regional comedians every Tuesday night. It's a great place to enjoy a few laughs and drinks.

Zouk is one of Asia's premier nightclubs, housed in three old warehouses by the river. The club features a large dance floor, multiple bars, and dining options, all set within Moorish and Aboriginal-inspired interiors.

The Long Bar at Raffles Hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere inspired by Malayan plantations of the 1920s. It's the perfect place to start your evening with a Singapore Sling, accompanied by soft tunes from the band.

Where to Eat in Singapore

Chinatown Complex is a food lover's paradise, offering a wide variety of stalls. The Michelin-listed Soya Sauce Chicken Rice Noodle is a must-try, but there are plenty of other options, including fresh juices and draft beers.

Makansutra Gluttons Bay is located near Marina Bay Sands and features a row of hawker stalls serving Singaporean delights. The outdoor dining area fills up quickly, especially during rush hour, so be sure to try the classic oyster omelette.

Timbre+ is a modern hawker center catering to a younger crowd. It offers a diverse selection of food stalls serving both traditional and modern dishes. Live music is a regular feature, and the Bottle Shop offers exclusive beers.

A Noodle Story at Amoy Street Food Centre is a standout ramen outlet. The springy noodles are served with HK-style wonton, crispy potato-wrapped prawn, and a "hot spring" egg, making it a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts.

Tai Hwa Pork Noodle may look unassuming, but it serves some of the best bak chor mee pork noodles in Singapore. This Michelin-starred establishment is worth the wait, offering delicious food at an affordable price.

Really nice hotel, didn't like it that there were stairs on our floor you had to go up and down to get to our room. Location was great, bus stop right outside. Lots of food options next door.
