First and foremost, the check-in process was fairly easy due to the professionalism of the staff. They were very attentive to our needs by assuring we had an ample amount of towels, sheets, pillows, and other goods. There was no sign of mold, rust, or any other complications you would expect from a hotel of its age. When I opened the closet, I was giddy at the sight of a robe and slippers to my expense. As a frequent traveler to the San Francisco area, I tend to stay at only the best hotels in the city and I kid you not this exceeded my expectations and I will gladly put this as my favorite hotel in San Francisco.

We upgraded to a suite and it was just the right amount of space for our large group to meet up and spend time together. Jon, the person at the front desk, was also incredible! He was so helpful! He was able to put me and my party on the same floor. And when my room wasn’t as big as I liked, he made sure to help me find a suite for an upgrade. Great staff, definitely!

It was exactly what you'd expect for an affordable room. The staff was very friendly, the pool area was very nice, and the room was comfortable and suitable. It could have been a bit cleaner - in that the sheets and towels are clearly a bit older and dingy, but they weren't dirty at all. Older building, everything could use a face lift of sorts, but it's comfortable, safe, and that pre war feel is nostalgic in my mind. Would come back!

Bar was nice, gym was nice, it was busy but front desk checked us in quickly and even gave us free drink tickets to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday.

It was central to the parts of San Francisco we wanted to visit. It was right on a cable car stop and we loved being able to hop right on one to take down to the wharf. The hotel was clean and there was always a staff member there to welcome us. The room was very small but for the price it was perfect.
