My partner and I came to Chicago to celebrate my birthday. Since we were only going to be in town for a few days, we didn't want to break the bank, but we also wanted to stay somewhere close to the tourist-y stuff. Enter: Hotel Saint Clair. The prices were reasonable, the pictures are a fair representation of the property, and it was close to everything we came into town to do. We were able to walk to Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, the Magnificent Mile, the RiverWalk, and the United Center (this was a trek--do not recommend, but it is doable). It was also close to other neat 21+ venues that we enjoyed. The customer service was impeccable, and the people who stayed in the hotel were also kind/friendly. It hosts a lot of Amtrak employees who appear to be regulars and gave us some great recommendations for food/things to do. Check-in and check-out were exceedingly simple. Additionally, it was pretty warm in Chicago for early October, but the A/C unit in our room worked like a dream. We will 100% stay here again.

This is a really lovely modern hotel and it’s very clean. The room was nicely appointed and a decent size. The service was excellent. They don’t have a pool, which would’ve been nice since it was so hot out, but it’s understandable since they’re in the middle of the city. The restaurant has a good happy hour and the mini burger was outstanding, but they had some extremely loud music playing from the DJ and it would’ve been very nice if it wasn’t so loud. The Arlo is in a perfect location to walk to the Riverwalk, to Millennium Park and to the Art Institute. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was nice. We appreciated the endless service that was provided from beginning to end. Asked if we could warm up our food and was sent up a microwave which was pretty awesome since we would explore the city and would come back with leftovers. Also appreciated the fact that they were able to hold our luggage even after check out. Also had a great view from our room. Had lunch at their rooftop restaurant, really enjoyed myself.

I like the amenities, the pool, the gym and the sauna the room was nice and big and I like that they offered both a market and a restaurant and a bar everything centrally located near the rooms. It was a little far from the lobby, but once you’re in the hotel area, I felt like I had everything I needed, and it felt like being on a giant cruise ship.

Lisbet at the front desk was amazing and helpful! Front desk staff really went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed when I broke my ankle at the start of the trip. Free beverages were lovely for the time in. Convenient location with lots of food options nearby. Communal kitchen is a great resource (though people do still routinely steal labeled items from the fridge).
